Mexico City brewery Cervecera Modelo first launched Modelo and Corona in the 1920s, however, there are varied reports as to who the brewery's founder was. The New York Times claims that bakery entrepreneur and Spanish immigrant Pablo Dez Fernndez was Cervecer Modelo's founder and grew the business across the next years to become Mexico's biggest brewery.

Corona Extra is a 4.5% ABV pale lager and a global icon. It is brewed in a lighter style than other beers from the region and is renowned for its bright, hoppy and subtle malt characteristics. Best served ice-cold from the esky with sliced lime, Corona Extra is a summertime thirst-crusher!
