A field blend of 55% Tempranillo and 45% Malbec; the certified organic grapes were hand harvested on the same day. The fruit was then individually berry sorted and combined prior to carbonic maceration and natural co-fermentation in a single French oak vat. In 2022 we also included 25% whole bunch Tempranillo in the mix to make those aromatics really pop! Maturation followed in two seasoned 600 litre French oak barrels for 10 months..
A dark, brooding, magenta colour stimulates the senses from the outset. Seductive aromatics of mulberry, sour cherry, roasted nori and pimento pull you in closer. The senses are complete with the first sip; a slightly tart, slightly salty, slightly sweet sensation weaves through the palate. Pomegranate, cocao and umami lead the way through to a crunchy, vibrant, juicy, fleshy, turgid, lip smacking and moreish finish!
