Darkness 12 Year Old Ardbeg Oloroso Finish Peated Whisky 500ml

Ardbeg has developed a cult following since its most recent re-birth from mothballs in 1997. Single casks have been rare and eagerly sought by fans and collectors alike.

This whisky emerged from a single cask before finishing in oloroso octaves. It begins with floral tea and earthy embers on the nose with sultanas and fresh sawdust. The palate has rich, oily and mouth coating smoke with coastal salinity and salted dark chocolate. the finish has wisps of campfire, chocolate coated peanuts and a lingering oak char.
