The annual Glengoyne release, a meticulously chosen selection limited to only 5200 bottles, encapsulates a taste of 30 years in a single dram, matured in sherry oak casks of distinguished character. For three decades, these finest sherry casks are almost entirely untouched. However, a rare intervention occurs two or three times during this period when the malt master evaluates the transformative interaction between the cask and the spirit. The goal is to meticulously select only the finest sherry oak casks. Each passing decade contributes to the deep hue, intense flavor, and boundless complexity of the valuable contents. Ultimately, only the utmost quality is granted the title of Glengoyne 30 Year Old.
