J. Dupont Cognac VSOP, known as Art Nouveau, is the signature VSOP of the House of J. Dupont, a Cognac house dating back to 1878. The house is owned by the Boinaud family, one of the long-established families of the Cognac region, who acquired the brand in 1992 and relaunched it under the next generation in 2014.
It is made exclusively from grapes grown in Grande Champagne, the Premier Cru of Cognac, prized for its chalky soils and the finesse and ageing potential of its eaux-de-vie. The blend is crafted by the Boinaud family cellar master and produced in limited quantities each year.
In the glass it shows a bright amber colour, with aromas of vanilla, oak and dried rose. The palate brings nut and hazelnut notes alongside peach and cooked fruit, sweet and well balanced, before an intense, harmonious finish. Enjoy it neat, with a single cube of ice, or in a refined Cognac cocktail.
