La Spinetta 2019 Il Nero Di Casanova 750ml

La Spinetta sources this wine from the Casanova vineyard located in Tuscany's Terre di Pisa Sangiovese DOC. The vines are 21 years old and maturation takes place in medium toast French oak barrels for nine months.

Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Nosing offers up spicy red currant and dark cherry aromas infused with dried herbs, earth and tobacco. Medium bodied ripe red currant and red cherry fruits show good flesh and richness with stern tannins providing a firm backbone. Bright acidity, tobacco, earthy cedar, dried herbs and spice sit underneath. Good depth with a long aftertaste that’s both rustic and robust.
