Laphroaig Quarter Cask 700ml

Laphroaig Distillery may reside on the storied Isle of Islay, home to some of the stoutest and peatiest drams to be seen, but you would never know it from tasting their Quarter Cask offering. By Islay standards, it is positively tame, even at 48% ABV. It does deliver on the Islay Peat but in a more subdued way than many of its neighbours and leans more toward being salty-sweet on the tongue with just enough chilli heat to make it interesting. All in all, this an ideal scotch for those who prefer their whiskey, giving a soft caress instead of a kick in the teeth.
