Mulassano Vermouth Rosso carries the name of Caffe Mulassano, one of Turin's most historic cafes and a cornerstone of the Italian aperitivo tradition. Its recipe dates back to the early 1900s and was once reserved exclusively for the cafe's guests, a closely guarded secret passed down through the generations.
Made in the classic Vermouth di Torino style, it is built on a base of fine Piedmontese white wine and flavoured only with natural ingredients, including alpine herbs, precious roots and spices. The result is a vermouth of genuine depth and authenticity.
It pours a bright ruby red and offers aromas of herbs, spices and a lift of orange and lemon peel. The palate is rich and velvety, balancing gentle sweetness with fresh acidity and the characteristic bitterness of vermouth, leading to a long, warming and pleasantly bitter finish. Served chilled it makes a superb aperitif, and it is an essential component of classics such as the Negroni and the Americano.
