Philter Brewing came out of Marrickville in Sydney's inner west with a reputation for clean, bright, hop led beer, and South Pacific Ale fits that brief exactly. It is double dry hopped with three of the most fruit forward hops Australia and New Zealand have to offer.
Nectaron leads with big, juicy peach, Wai-iti sharpens it up with lime and apricot, and Galaxy rounds the whole thing out with classic passionfruit and grapefruit tang.
The result is a fruit driven ale that keeps its bitterness in check and stays easy to come back to. Serve it cold and as fresh as you can, ideally next to something salty off the barbecue.
