Schrobbelèr, a herbal liqueur, originates from Tilburg, Netherlands. It was the invention of Jan Wassing, a local who found traditional liquors and spirits too strong, and thus sought to create a drink he could relish during the Carnival. The recipe remains a closely guarded family secret, but it is acknowledged that the liqueur incorporates 43 distinct herbs for flavor.

Schrobbelèr is characterized by its smooth consistency and light amber colour, exuding a distinct herbal flavor and aroma. It is designed to be savored, preferably served chilled. Customarily, Schrobbelèr is served neat or on the rocks, and occasionally, it is paired with coffee. The name 'Schrobbelèr' traces back to the local wool industry—it referred to the individual tasked with untangling wool.
