Stonehorse Cabernet Sauvignon 750ml

A significantly cold and wet winter resulted in a delayed bud burst but contributed exceptional soil moisture for the forthcoming growing season. These cool and wet conditions persisted through spring, presenting challenges during the flowering and fruit set stages. To mitigate disease pressure and manage fruit load, the vineyard underwent extensive shoot thinning. This approach proved effective as the cooler-than-average season progressed, culminating in a notably late vintage. Harvest commenced approximately three weeks later than usual, with the mild conditions facilitating a relatively seamless harvest, allowing for optimal timing in picking the parcels. The fruit for the Stonehorse Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from estate vineyards in the Polish Hill sub-region of Clare Valley.
