Ardbeg An Oa 700ml

If you weren't raised with Scots rolling off your tongue don't even try to pronounce Ardbeg Distillery An Oa's name. It'll only sound like you're having a stroke. That is where the negatives end with this whiskey though. Created by marrying spirits aged in spicy virgin charred oak, sweet Pedro Ximenez and second fill ex-bourbon casks among others, it delivers that classic Ardbeg peat zing but with a well-rounded sweetness carrying notes of dark chocolate, butterscotch, cloves, black pepper aniseed and orange peel. Creamy in texture, it has a long finish with wood and nut being dominant at first but giving way to floral overtones and a mint toffee freshness.
