Ashbrook Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 750ml

The “Old Cab” Houghton clone cuttings were collected from the Agricultural Department ‘Source Block’ in the Swan Valley and planted in 1976. Due to its ultimate suitability to the region and increased demand, the “Young Cab” was planted in 1998 from the original vines on the Estate. Lifted aromas of cassis and herbal spice with some savoury herbaceous notes. Big flavours of cassis and spice follow from the nose onto the palate which are given structure by a fine tannin providing a soft velvety mouth-feel. French oak spice provides some backbone and complexity while adding to the length of this classice Margaret Rvier Cabernet.
