Bacardi Gran Reserva Diez is a premium aged rum whose name, meaning "ten" in Spanish, points directly to its lengthy maturation. Each batch is aged for a minimum of ten years in oak casks under the warm Caribbean sun, then gently charcoal filtered to build its smooth, refined character.
The extended time in oak gives the rum a warm golden hue and a wonderfully layered aroma. Ripe banana, pear and stone fruits such as peach and apricot mingle with caramelised vanilla, toasted oak and a hint of warm spice.
On the palate it is soft and fruit-forward, with honeyed vanilla, nougat and almond giving way to dried apricot, cocoa and gentle baking spice. The finish is long and warming, making it an elegant rum to savour neat or over ice.
