The Altbier is a traditional German ale beer with a long history predating the rise of lager brewing. Its name, derived from the German term "Old Beer," reflects its ancient origins. This beer is characterized by its malt-forward profile and is particularly favored in the Dusseldorf region, showcasing distinctive bready Munich flavors and a pleasant, dry finish.

The creation of this beer was inspired by Brett Tyrrell's triumph in the Bayside Brewers Oktoberfest competition of 2022, where his homebrew recipe earned him an esteemed award.
