Stingrays Dark Lager comes from Bodriggy Brewing Co, an independent brewery and brewpub on Johnston Street in Abbotsford, Melbourne. The beer brand launched in 2016, with on-site brewing following in 2018 and the much-loved brewpub opening in 2019. The name Bodriggy is drawn from an old stonemason's villa that once stood on the site, and the venue now brings together a brewery, bar and bottle shop under one roof.

Part of Bodriggy's Stingrays lager range, this dark lager pours a deep brown with a touch of copper. It leads with roasted coffee and dark chocolate, backed by hints of dark plum and molasses and a chocolate-biscuit aroma.

Despite all that dark malt character it drinks dry rather than sweet, staying crisp and light in body with a clean bitter edge that makes it genuinely sessionable.
