The ideal modern dram for those who miss the classic taste of older-style Bowmore brews, Bowmore 15-Year-Old "Darkest" perfectly displays the finest points of the distillery's nature in this new millennium. Aged for 10 years in first-fill toasted bourbon barrels and then a full 5 years in Oloroso sherry casks it delivers a smooth, rich taste resplendent with notes of sundried raisins, sweet milk chocolate, green leaves, black liquorice, smokiness and touches of menthol. Its finish is long with toffee, sherry, barley and winter spices balancing well against one another.
