Budweiser Budvar Original is brewed by Budějovický Budvar in the Czech city of České Budějovice, a town whose brewing tradition stretches back some 750 years. The beer carries Protected Geographical Indication status as a genuine Budějovice beer and is enjoyed in around 70 countries.

This premium pale lager is made with Moravian malt, whole-cone Saaz hops from the Žatec region and soft water drawn from deep artesian wells beneath the brewery. Fermented with a heritage lager yeast, it then undergoes a long, slow maturation in cellars kept just above freezing, giving it remarkable smoothness and depth.

It pours a bright gold beneath a rich, thick head. The aroma offers malt and a gentle vanilla note with a hint of apple, and the palate balances full malt character with a mild to medium hop bitterness and a clean, refreshing finish.
