Once the dominate American whisky, Rye has a rather storied past and almost passed from existence altogether. That was before Thomas E. Bulleit Jr. decided to revive his grandfather's recipes and opened his own distillery. Now Bulleit Rye is one of the top-selling brands in the world. Created from a mash consisting of 95% rye 5% malted barley (no corn allowed) it is a full-bodied, spicy dram. Though it is a NAS whisky, the company claims every barrel is 6 years old before bottling.
