Cruzan Aged Dark Rum was created to be a sipper. Because of this, its tones are rather subdued compared to many of its cousins. It has a creamy texture with a mild vanilla flavour backed by an even more subtle smokiness. The mid-palate brings a wisp of hazelnuts and shy caramel sweetness with just a tiny bit of pepper coming through at the end. Exceptionally clean for a rum originating in the French West Indies it is perfect on the rocks or with just a tiny touch of tonic to awaken its fruitier tones.
