Otto Dal Zotto arrived in the King Valley with Prosecco running through his veins and a dream of producing the famous sparkling wine in his new home. The Dal Zotto family have pioneered Prosecco in Australia, first planting it 20 years ago in 1999 and releasing the first vintage in 2004. In August 2019, Dal Zotto Wines received one of the greatest honours in Australian wine by not only being awarded a FIVE-STAR rating but also being named the 2020 Halliday Wine Companion Dark Horse Winery of The Year. Typically deep in colour for the variety, the bouquet is savoury with anise, fennel, roasted meat, cherry and dark plums; the palate is full of serious intent, again showing deep and dark black and red fruits, with the acidity playing a pivotal role in this low tannin variety.
