This Rosé is a gastronomic breakaway. Labelled as the "Sommeliers Rosé" by Andrew de Vries - Head Sommelier Catalina Rose Bay. Limited, 3% of the 885 bottles of the now globally sold out vintage was allocated to Australia. A collectors cuvée. 60% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir. This champagne is perfect as an aperitif, with a seafood platter or with a chocolate dessert such as a chocolate fondant or a black forest cake. Delicate aromas of red berries and raspberries give way to textures of mirabelle plum and toasted brioche. Smooth and well-structured. Ideal with a fresh seafood platter robust enough for duck and pork or Black Forest Gateau. Awarded 17/20 points - Jancis Robinson (MW).
