George Dickel Superior No. 12 is a robust and full-bodied expression of the company's classic 'Tennessee Sippin Whiskey'. It has just been allowed to age and mellow a little longer in the barrel and mellow it has. At first, it is very assertive with a bit of a tongue burn and concentrated oak flavours. This quickly fades, though and gives way to lemon zest tones and the taste of cinnamon candies comes to the forefront. The finish is long and exceptionally smooth without being overly sweet or too heavy. It could well be the best Tennessee on the market.
