Founded in early 2016, Helios Brewing Company is an innovative solar-powered and sustainable brewery in Yeerongpilly, south Brisbane, launched by environmental engineers Scott Shomer, Tony and Jayne Rutter, who made it their mission to custom design Helios' brewing equipment and processes, to minimise waste and their carbon footprint, whilst maximising water efficiency and energy.
