The whiskey is aged in a combination of ex-bourbon barrels, sherry casks and hand-selected Marsala casks. Those Marsala casks, crafted from American white oak and sourced from the historic Florio winery in Sicily, are seasoned with fortified Marsala wine for several years, drawing out rich notes of apricot, toffee apple, walnut and woodland spice.
