During ancient times, the region surrounding I-Lan in Taiwan was known as Kavalan, a land shrouded in mystery that was inhabited solely by the indigenous people of the Kavalan clan. The Emperor of the Chin dynasty officially recognized this name in 1809, coinciding with the construction of the original city. Kavalan has always remained untouched and shielded from the outside world by the Syue-shan mountain range, which provides an abundant supply of high-quality natural water sourced deep within the mountains. This exceptional whisky has been crafted to embody the misty atmosphere and ancestral spirits of Kavalan.
