Nikka Black Special 720ml

Nicknamed the "Bearded Black" Nikka Black Special is created using a blending of spirits from both the company's Yoichi and Miyagikyo distilleries. One of the highest-rated and most popular whiskeys from Japan it received the coveted Liquid Gold Award in Jim Murray's 2014 edition of the Whisky Bible. Its nose is sweet and nutty with just a shaving of vanilla bean added but, on the tongue, it has a surprising spiciness with bitter notes reminiscent of salted dark chocolate. It has a medium-long finish that is creamy and leaves a slight malt tanginess behind.
