Starward Fortis Single Malt Whisky 700ml

The fourth release in the Starward line from Melbourne's New World Whisky Distillery, Fortis is a bold and refreshing Aussie single malt. Aged in freshly emptied American oak red wine barrels mainly sourced from the Barossa Valley, Starward Fortis has a slight toasty feel from the charred oak barrels but its main character is fruity goodness. Full of dates, figs, candied red berries and a slight touch of peanut brittle imparted by the shiraz and cabernet wine barrels, Starward Fortis has more than enough backbone to stand out in cocktails but is best served slightly chilled or with just a splash of mineral water.
