The Brehenys hold significant influence in the annals of Australian Brewing History, as their presence spans a century from 1850 to 1950, with eighteen different members of the Breheny family employed across multiple breweries.

In 1891, the establishment of 'Breheny Bros. Breweries' marked a milestone in their journey, producing and serving barrels of ale up until the 1930s when the brewery ceased operations.

Fast forward over a century, the descendants of the Breheny brothers, in possession of the original recipe books, revitalised the historical beer, leading to the re-establishment of Breheny Bros. Breweries.
