Yuza First Edition 2022 Japanese Whisky 700ml

Yuza First Edition, recently honored with a gold medal at the 2022 San Francisco International Spirit Challenge, represents the inaugural whiskey from the nascent distillery established in 2017 in the town of Akumi, located within the Yamagata region.

This premier edition comprises a blend of single malts aged for three years in bourbon casks, meticulously chosen from those filled between November 2018 and January 2019, which coincides with the distillery's founding period. Bottled at cask strength, this process accentuates the intrinsic flavors of the American oak barrel. The whiskey's defining taste profile can be described as "clear and airy," evident through the indulgent and fruity aromas of honey, vanilla, and apricot, all characterized by a smooth and silky texture.
