Callington Mill Distillery Festive Cask is the distillery's limited Christmas release, a Tasmanian single malt crafted for the long, unhurried days of the holiday season. This edition arrives in a gift box, ready to be given to the whisky lover in your life.
The whisky is distilled and matured at Callington Mill in Oatlands, in the heart of Tasmania's Midlands. For Festive Cask, the distillery draws on a combination of its finest Sherry and Port casks, and this year's release has been shaped to be bolder than ever.
The nose and palate are full of seasonal richness, with Christmas pudding, candied orange peel and sticky toffee joined by spiced red wine, dark chocolate and espresso. It all leads into a long, warm and generous finish. The distillery suggests pouring a glass after Christmas lunch, sharing it with family over the holidays, or saving it for the moment the pudding is brought to the table.
