Dominique Portet is a Yarra Valley estate founded in 2000 at Coldstream by the ninth-generation winemaker of the same name, now run day-to-day by his son Ben Portet. The Portet family traces its winemaking history back nine generations across Bordeaux (including Château Lafite-Rothschild) and the New World. Fontaine is the estate's Provence-inspired rosé.
A Yarra Valley rosé blended from around 55% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Shiraz. Expect a pale salmon colour, with lifted aromas of peach, strawberry, watermelon and spring blossom. The palate is dry and crisp, with gentle texture and a clean, refreshing finish. 13% alcohol.
Hand-picked fruit is gently crushed and pressed, then fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel to preserve aromatic purity and freshness.
