Egan's Conviction is a decadent blend of single malt and single grain Irish whiskeys, each aged for no less than ten years before being married together and finished in XO Cognac casks. The result is a rich, layered whiskey that honours the Egan family's legacy of fine whiskey bonding, which dates back to 1852 in Tullamore.
On the nose, expect opulent floral cereal grains, honey and dried apricot. The palate reveals new leather, marzipan and hints of ginger, lifted by zesty citrus. The finish is long and lingering, closing with liquorice and vanilla.
Bottled at 46% ABV, Conviction is the work of fifth and sixth generation Egans, Maurice and Jonathan, who revived their family's dormant enterprise in 2013 to craft innovative Irish whiskeys that move beyond tradition.
