The 2019 growing season experienced arid conditions through both winter and spring, persisting until harvest. This resulted in lower yields and smaller berries. Cultivated on the Estate vineyards at Rowland Flat and Lyndoch in the southern Barossa Valley, the single-wire trellised vines, established in 1995 and 2004, facilitate dappled light exposure in the fruit zone, promoting optimal ripeness encompassing color, flavor, tannin, and sugar development. The grapes were harvested at peak flavor, showcasing exquisite varietal character. Perfectly paired with Low and Slow BBQ, this wine complements the intensity and richness, ideal for leisurely Sunday gatherings.
