If you love fine scotch but tire of the cask strength bruisers and want something a little gentler and sweeter to try, then GlenDronach 12 Year Old is the ideal dram for you. Aged in Spanish Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso sherry casks, non-chill filtered and bottled at a relatively mild 43% ABV, it delivers a sweet, creamy taste that is singular in nature. The first impression you'll find on tasting GlenDronach 12 Year Old is of lightly candied orchard fruits and blackberries with hints of liquorice root, oiled walnut and new leather. Its finish is moderately long but not overly dry and offers ginger and orange tones.

Loved it.

Great whiskey!

Highland/Coastal Scotch

By the looks of it, it is a quality whisky with great texture. Oily, sticks to the glass.
Nice nose with fortified wine, apple pie, raisins and caramel. Not overly sweet on the palate, but the flavours are well put together. Spicy/peppery finish, raisin aftertaste (as expected from sherry casks). Overall, a solid product, so I disagree with the half a star review below. Not only it is drinkable, but it is better than. However, my personal choice would be Bunnahabhain Stiùireadair (despite being NAS) due to that extra ABV punch and sweetness.

Really good whiskey

I love Glendronach, this one is not as good as the 18yo, but its also a third of the price, and still really good whiskey! I would recommend.
