Opthimus 18 is a polished Dominican rum from Oliver & Oliver, a house known for sourcing and patiently maturing rum across the Caribbean. Made using the solera method, it blends spirits aged up to eighteen years, allowing older reserves to lend their depth to the final rum.
Maturation takes place in American white oak barrels once used for ageing bourbon, giving the rum a soft, refined character. Look for smooth notes of vanilla, dried fruit, oak and gentle spice, all wrapped in a rounded, easy-going sweetness.
