Stolen Gold Rum is the original aged expression from Stolen Spirits, a New Zealand-born rum house with a reputation for clean, well-balanced Caribbean rums. The base is sourced from select Caribbean stills, aged for a minimum of two years in ex-whisky charred oak barrels, then blended by hand for a smooth, mineral-driven character that suits both classic cocktails and a quiet pour over ice.
The colour is a clean golden amber with a slight green-gold tinge. A buttery, slightly waxy nose opens with notes of green apple, cinnamon and warm baking spice, leading into a palate of butterscotch, toffee apple, soft caramel and a lightly bitter, oily astringency that keeps the finish savoury rather than sweet. A subtle toffee-apple character lingers on the close.
A standout in classic rum cocktails, Stolen Gold is the ideal base for a properly built Daiquiri, a long Dark and Stormy, a rum Old Fashioned or a simple pour over a single large rock. Equally at home behind a busy bar or a relaxed home setup.
