Pouring a deep mahogany brown with a tight beige head this beer does not keep its malt-first flavour profile a secret. The aroma contains notes of burnt caramel, earl grey tea, fresh coffee and a mild woody smokiness.
In the mouth it’s all malty goodness with biscuity and toffee sweetness at first, giving way to roasted walnuts and a piney smokey bitterness derived from the oak aging process then finally leaving the palate with a charred sticky sweetness like you just ate a campfire marshmallow.
