Yamazakura Blended Whisky 700ml

If you have never experienced any of the domestic Japanese blended whiskeys, then Yamazakura Blended Whisky might be the proper introduction to some of the more unusual tastes that the Nipponese find appealing in their glasses. Created by blending four undisclosed malt whiskeys with a little grain alcohol this is a NAS brand that bears little resemblance to the companies 16-year-old semi-scotch offering. It strikes the nose with a heavy floral array with touches of caramel, orchard fruit and oak. On the palate, it initially has a coppery taste that gives way to a peppery vanilla savoriness with a lingering sweetness.
