Fettercain Warehouse 2 Batch 3 Single Malt Scotch Whisky 700ml

Limited to a total of 9,600 bottles, Fettercairn Warehouse 2 Batch No. 003 was distilled in 2015 and aged in a carefully selected range of ex-bourbon barrels, rum barrels, and French red wine barriques. These unique barrels were chosen from the aging stock in Warehouse 2, known for its high humidity and cool environment that contribute to the maturation process.

Batch 3 showcases the tropical house style of the distillery, which is achieved through the distinctive copper cooling ring distillation process. This batch also incorporates a touch of soft, sweet spice. The whisky is bottled at a higher strength of 50.6% ABV to emphasize the pronounced influence of the French red wine barriques and enhance the complexity of the spirit.

To preserve the full range of flavors, this single malt is not subjected to chill filtration. It presents a naturally golden color and greets the nose with a warm sweetness. On the palate, one can expect a delightful mix of passion fruit, papaya, and red berries, complemented by notes of sugared almonds and patisserie spice.
